Krafton, a South Korean game developer mainly known for having developed PUBG: Battlegrounds, has signed a long-term partnership agreement with Solana Labs to develop blockchain-based games for the Solana ecosystem.

Although the price of the deal wasn't disclosed, Krafton says it will also develop games with a focus on non-fungible tokens.

The two companies will reportedly also cooperate in the marketing and design. Hyungchul Park, Lead of Web 3.0 Roundtable at Krafton, said that the company tapped Solana Labs as Krafton wants to work "toward establishing our Web 3.0 ecosystem." Park added:

As one of the best global high-performance blockchain with strength in high speed and low fees, Solana represents the best of the Web 3.0 ecosystem and its technologies.

Even though no details about the upcoming blockchain-related initiatives were revealed, Krafton hinted that it will use its experience acquired from PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS.
