TIME, an American news magazine founded in 1923, has announced it will drop its new issue as a non-fungible token on the blockchain featuring Ethereum's Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin on the cover on March 23.

The NFT features TIME's cover story called "The Prince of Crypto Has Concerns," which tells a story of Ethereum's future from Vitalik Buterin’s perspective. TIME says the NFT is made in a partnership with the LITDAO, a web3 project that created the first fully decentralized book dubbed "LIT Project One: Survive All Apocalypses."

TIME will airdrop the token to several TIMEPiece and genesis LIT community wallet holders. However, the draw mechanism remains unknown. For TIME this is far from the first time the 99-year-old magazine uses Web3 technologies.
